Bluetooth

Bluetooth was one of those technologies that saved our mobile phone using country at a time when laws against cell phone use and driving came into play. Bluetooth was able to create a hands-free way for business people, and really any type of person, to stay connected even when they are traveling. Bluetooth is the earpiece device that once plugged into your phone and now is a wireless technology.

Bluetooth has come a long way from when it originally started. Like stated before, bluetooth used to be a device that needed to plug into its user's cell phone in order for the device to work. Then the device progressed to being a wireless device. The device no longer needed to plug into its user's cell phone, but could instead connect to the phone through a syncing process on the cell phone. More recently, though, blue tooth has technologically advance even further. Now, there is hands free bluetooth technology pre-loaded into brand new cars. This technology allows you to make calls through bluetooth at the push of a button. You no longer have to use your cell phone to determine who you are calling, but rather, can choose your caller through voice recognition technology. You can also control certain actions, through this technology, like when to hang up or try a call again.

Bluetooth has also wiggled its way into medical practices and homes. This information is surprising to me because I had no idea. Come to find out, blue-tooth has technology for a doctor like bluetooth in his stethoscope so that he can load sounds like heartbeats right into his computer, which can then upload these sounds onto patients electronic medical records, making them easily accessible. Bluetooth also features a smart home which allows homeowners to access and control their lighting, security systems and control the home temperature.

Bluetooth has come a long way from where it started. I imagine that bluetooth will continue improving and only surprise us even further.

I agree with what this person had to say about Bluetooth. Bluetooth was sort of an under the radar company when they first started. They were only known for the chip that went into people's ears so that they could talk on the phone without holding the actual phone in their hands. As time progressed and technology became more advanced, Bluetooth had more options to explore, which meant more options to innovate already created products with the Bluetooth technology. With the newer technology readily available was when they had the chance to create products such as the Bluetooth being built into the stethoscope. Bluetooth isn't the only company doing this. Companies such as Apple and Bose are doing the same thing. They are installing their software into already made products to make them even better quality. Technology is only getting better. Who knows what they are going to innovate next.

I also did not know how advanced bluetooth technology has become. It was a surprise to me that bluetooth technology is being used in doctor offices and for other health reasons. I also found it very interesting that blue tooth has developed the "smart home," which allows you to "control" your home wirelessly. Depending on the expense of this technology I would consider purchasing it when I purchase a home. When I think of Bluetooth the first thing that comes to mind is the telephone ear piece that everyone is wearing, because it the most popular form of bluetooth as of right now. It is very important for companies to become innovative and Bluetooth Technologies is definitely doing so.
