Bluetooth Technologies

Bluetooth technology is a proprietary open wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances from fixed and mobile devices. This creates a personal area technology with high levels of security. Bluetooth is considered a short-range wireless network. Short-range wireless networks simplify the task of connecting one device to another, eliminating wires and enabling users to move around while they use the devices. On average, short-range networks have a range of 100 feet or less.
Products that are enhanced through bluetooth technology. One product is a stethoscope. The name of the stethoscope is 3M Littmann Electronic Stethoscope. It allows a physician to listen to your heartbeat, while sending the other information directly to the computer or mobile phone. Another medical device enhanced by Bluetooth technology is glucose monitors. They track your daily glucose levels and sends them to a computer or mobile phone. This keeps all of your records up to date. Bluetooth technology is also used to provide a "Smart Home." Wireless devices in the home allow you to control the lights, temperature, household appliances, window and door locks, security systems and more.
I found the Bluetooth website very easy to navigate and very informative. This website is friendly for individuals to use if they want to invest in technology for personal or business use. Bluetooth technology is going to be very beneficial to the corporate environment. This technology is going to allow businesses to be more productive and provide customers with a faster and more accurate service. The corporate world today is very technology driven and it is important for corporations to invest in innovative technologies to keep their competitive edge.

I think it is so interesting how far bluetooth has come over the years. I remember when I first found out about it and how it was a way for someone to talk one the phone without physically having their phone to their ear. I remember thinking that this was kind of weird, but now it has become what is normal. What is weird now is the fact that bluetooth is making its way into the world of medicine and the world of home security. This breakthrough in their technology is wonderful, though, because it does help to keep medical records up to date more easily. This technology is also great from homes because the ability to lock windows and doors and control lights, temp, and household appliances is the click of a button away. I guess I never would have guessed that bluetooth would become so much more advanced, but that's definitely the way things go in the world of technology.
