Google Docs

Google Docs is an online storage system for documents and spreadsheets. The use of cloud storage allows Google Docs to have many different documents on the same server allowing for groups to access the work of other members to get a project done or allowing for up to 1 GB of memory to be stored online rather than on the computer it was created on. This program has opened many doors. It allows for people working on a project together who may be in separate countries or on opposite eds of a country to work together efficiently to get the project done. This also makes spreading your documents easier rather than having to print a hard copy or send an email out for everyone who wants a copy of something this program allows for those people to go into Google Docs and find the document themselves. This is what the future is becoming. The trend suggests that the next step in technology is cloud storage and computing. This new program allows for more efficient file sharing and opens a new possibility of group work to allow for projects to be done through file sharing between people in other countries, states, or towns. There is no longer an issue if someone can’t be there they will always be involved with a click of the mouse they have all the work they missed at their fingertips.

I agree with your description of Google docs being an online storage system it describes it perfectly. There is good detail in the program when you explain that there is the ability of one GB of memory that the user can store online rather than on a computer or flash drive. This allows access for users everywhere there is internet. Like you said it gives a good advantage in the working world. There are many ways through the programs on Google docs that can bring collaboration through co-workers or employees on work without ever have to be working on it in a group a set meeting time that may not be convenient for someone. I would have not explained anything different i believe that Jon did a good job explaining the website detail to detail.

I agree that this program is definitely going to set a new trend for the world. It is going to definitely help out international work. Most of the time, many people rely on documents being e-mailed to them in order to work. This can be hard for workers from different parts of the world especially when they fall in different time zones. The fact that documents can be found in this one place at any time of the day is so practical and convenient. It is also convenient for those who are different schedules. The fact that this program makes it so that people don't have to rely on others (sending them information) makes this program extremely appealing.

I am really interested in learning more about Google Docs because I feel that it will come in handy when doing group projects and working with teams in the workplace. I would love to gain experience learning to use this program.
